2026 Charity Walk

Donate to our Charity Walk fund here!
It’s Charity Walk time of the year. This year, May 2 is the official walk and there are lots of events leading up to the day.
KCCP is participating and is encouraging everyone to participate by donating on our page. All donations received in KCCP’s name will come back to us along with a matching percentage. We never know that percentage until the event is over and they count the proceeds and determine the match the participating non-profits will receive.
Anyone local on Kauai can participate – just go to the main web page at charitywalkhawaii.org to register.
Here is an explanation of the Charity Walk from the organizers:
“The Charity Walk, founded in 1974 and expanded statewide in 1978, is now Hawai‘i’s largest single-day fundraising event by a non-profit organization. Since its inception, more than $47 million has been raised to support hundreds of local charities throughout the state. Spearheaded by the Hawai’i Lodging & Tourism Association and its non-profit arm the Hawai‘i Hotel Industry Foundation, the Charity Walk is traditionally held every May on Hawai‘i, Kaua‘i, Lana‘i, Maui, Moloka‘i, and O‘ahu. Money raised on an island or each county stays in the community.
We are excited to announce we’re hosting the 47th Annual Visitor Industry Charity Walk at Vidinha Stadium soccer field on Saturday 5/2/2026 at 7am (registration starts at 6:00am). In 2025, we proudly achieved our fundraising goal of $700,000, providing vital support to over 50 nonprofits across Kaua‘i. While we celebrated this incredible success, many of our nonprofit partners are now facing increased demand for their services. Rising inflation has placed a significant burden on local families, leading more individuals to seek help with basic needs. In response, we’ve raised our fundraising goal to $700,000 this year to better support these essential services. As you are aware, the Kaua’i Charity Walk has been a staple fundraiser on the island for ove 46 years and is the lifeline for many non-profit organizations on the island.
We are thrilled to introduce this year’s Charity Walk Chair, Michael Murphy; Grand Hyatt Kaua’i Resort & Spa and Co-Chair; Chris San Nicolas; Outrigger Kaua’i Beach Resort & Spa. Together, they bring exceptional leadership to guide the Charity Walk towards new milestones. We are immensely grateful for the many hands and generous hearts that make this three-month fundraising effort a success. Together, we’re making a difference in our community—let’s aim even higher in 2026! Charity Walk raised over $620,000 for over 60 local charities and non-profit organizations. While we celebrated this incredible success, many of our nonprofit partners are now facing increased demand for their services. Rising inflation has placed a significant burden on local families, leading more individuals to seek help with basic needs. Last year’s Kaua’i Community Cat Project was the number one nonprofit in fundraising and received a check for $30,000 from the event.
Please help us with a strong showing! Join us in-person or as a donor-only, and help us with this island-wide event as we raise funds for KCCP’s lifesaving work. Many charities benefit from this event and all monies raised stay on that island.
