Your first option for friendly adults or kittens is Kauai Humane Society. They have the facility and a large group of fosters to assist. They are under new management who are committed to helping cats. They have updated their adoption policies and are also aggressively sending to the mainland to partner shelters for adoption.
If Kauai Humane Society is at capacity, then contact us and provide the name of the person you spoke with at the Humane Society. Since we have no physical facility, keeping kittens or adult cats will require a foster. We are a very small group and have no fosters so we will need your help to foster.
Our only option is to send cats/kittens to our mainland partners for adoption.
In order for an adult cat to be transferred to our mainland partners for adoption, the kitty must be healthy, spayed/neutered, be able to use a cat box, and be comfortable inside a house. The cost to ship one adult cat or two kittens (including health certificate and shots) is about $250.
Kittens will need to be fostered until they are 2 pounds (minimum), when they can be sent to the mainland for adoption.
